Drawn live on location at a weekend Jazz dance and Dance Workshop event at Royal Festival Hall, London, in July 2011. Charcoal and white pastel on Canson paper. 50cm x 64cm.
At that time, both Mme Jo Jo’s in Soho, and Southport Weekender, in it’s original location at Pontins-by-the-Sea, were both going strong. The dancers depicted in this sketch would typically ‘rock-up’ and ‘fling foot’ at both events.
